WHAT IS PROJECT CORNERSTONE?
Each month, trained parent volunteers read stories that foster positive values, relationships, skills and experiences that help children and teens thrive. Developed by the YWCA of Silicon Valley, the program seeks to engage and empower all members of a school community: students, parents and caregivers, and teachers and staff to:
Increase the number of caring adults on campus
Reduce bullying
Improve school climate to create vibrant, caring communities of learners
Help all students feel valued, respected, and known
Laurel classrooms need parent volunteers to help continue this program for the '23-'24 school year.
